Uniformed Services is comprised of eighteen (18) officers divided among four (4) patrol teams that provide proactive crime prevention, high visibility and rapid response services 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Each team works a twelve (12) hour shift and includes a shift sergeant with three to four patrol officers. They annually answer approximately 10,000 calls for service and investigate 400-500 motor vehicle crashes.
In addition to traditional patrol and traffic assignments, Uniformed Services Division Officers are tasked with citizen and business interaction and liaison to assist with programs such as Community Watch, Business/Police Partnership and other crime education and prevention programs.
At any given time, you may find an officer checking business doors and windows, as well as special patrols of local neighborhoods. The duty of all our officers is to provide a sense of security for our citizens as they navigate through their day or while their families lay down for the night.
